Laurie Jungling elected new bishop in Montana. She is currently serving as interim at Gold Hills in Butte. She had 143 votes to Jason Asselstine 138. She will begin her six year term in September. If you would like to read more about Pr. Laurie you can go to the ELCA Montana Synod website. There is a short bio of our newly elected bishop and you can also find the daily summaries of our synod assembly. https://www.montanasynod.org/

VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL 2019 All children ages 4-11 (incoming 5th graders) are invited to join us for an unforgettable week of Vacation Bible School. On June 10-14, children are invited to join us from 9 a.m. to noon for games, music, crafts, Bible stories and much more. Registration is currently open and can be found at www.hopebozemanff.com. This year our theme is "ROAR: Life is wild, God is good!" Each day we will explore a different Bible story and meet a new wild animal. This is a collaboration between Hope Lutheran and Holy Rosary Catholic Parish and will take place every day at Hope Lutheran. We hope to see you there!

Pastor Steve reflects on the Easter Gospel from Matthew 28:1-10 focusing on the response of the women who went to the tomb. First they felt the resurrection from an earthquake, then the saw the resurrection with angel descending from heaven and rolling the stone back, then they heard the resurrection from the angel and from the Risen Lord Himself. Pastor Steve that you have to go through Good Friday to get to Easter and much of life is filled with the earthquakes that shake us to the core and we too are filled with fear and great joy.
The Palm Sunday sermon by Pastor John Pavlovitch shared with Hope Lutheran Church in Bozeman, Montana
Pastor Steve's sermon this morning at Hope Lutheran: "We Are All Late Arrivals" based on the parable of the laborers in the vineyard.
Pastor Steve reflects upon the feeding of the 5,000 recorded in Matthew 14:13-21 at Hope Lutheran on Sunday, February 24th. He reflects on our need to believe in Jesus as one who does miracles. The feeding of the 5,000, which was just men, so probably closer to 8-10 thousand, is an example not only of Jesus' power but also of God's abundance. Jesus who is the Bread of Life not only fills our stomachs but satisfies our hungry hearts.
Pastor Steve's sermon this morning at Hope Lutheran: Pastor Steve addresses the opening of Jesus' Sermon on the Mount which includes a series of blessings called the Beatitudes. Jesus blesses those thought not to be so. Steve suggests that he God blessed both Eeyores and Tiggers. God also declares us blessed too which empowers us to be salt and light for the world.
Brass group entertains at Christmas Shop. Probably over 300 kids today! Awesome event and community outreach.
On this All Saints Sunday Pastor Steve focused on the healing story of Naaman found in 2 Kings 5. The emphasis was on the servant girl and her critical part in this story even though she goes unnamed. How does healing happen in our own lives and how the saints triumphant continue to mark our lives. Pastor Steve shared of his own experience through the land of illness and healing with his own diagnosis earlier this year of cancer.
Pastor Steve preaches on the setup to the giving of the Ten Commandments in Exodus 20 emphasizing how Chapter 19 provides us with a wonderful understanding of the order of Grace: 1) Grace then 2)Obedience and finally 3) Blessing. If we understand this we discover that the Ten Commandments are more gift than law.
